The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region 5, through its Project Click, partnered with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur for a three-day Digital Literacy Training held on July 7-9, 2025, at the Governor Mariano E. Villafuerte Community College (GMVCC) in Libmanan.
With DICTβs mission to champion digital literacy and capacity-building for every Filipino, 75 college students from GMVCC Libmanan and Baao Community College (BCC), who recently received laptops from Project Click, participated in the training.
This initiative aims to equip the youth and underserved sectors with competent knowledge to stay up-to-date with the latest Information and Communications Technology (ICT) advancements. The training covered topics such as computer fundamentals, Microsoft Office tools, productivity skills, online safety, responsible digital behavior, and social media awareness.
Lara Bea Robianes, a first-year BS Entrepreneurship student of GMVCC Libmanan, shared her gratitude after completing the three-day training.
βAs an entrepreneurship student, dakulaon po siyang tabang kasi kadakol kaming ginigibong paper works like business plan and business proposal, mas madali mi na po siyang mae-edit and mas magayon mi na po siyang magigibo,β she said.
